The man I blame for single handedly ruining modern cinema and arresting the development of a generation or two, Stanley Martin Leiber (also known as Stan Lee), died on Monday at the age of 95.
Lee was credited with co-creating Marvel comic book characters such as Spider-Man, the Hulk, Black Panther, X-Men, and other silly suited “superheroes.” He’s also the guy that had cameos in a terrible run of Marvel franchise movies such as the Avengers and Ant-Man and other “films” that grown ass men actually pay money to see while drinking liquid sugar and eating soy infused candies.
Lee is also credited with “humanizing” his characters and giving them flaws to seem more relatable to the losers reading his comics. He’s been lauded as a champion of diversity and inclusion in his stories and offered this message to his 40 year old toddler fans:
