WACFest 2021 Artist Reflections: Kandro & Mrs. K

Here I am....WAC Pack is just down the road. I'm freaking out. I've been on the outskirts of the White Art Collective for awhile now but this is a first for me. This is crazy. IRL WAC Pack!

We're walking up to the tent, I'm called out by name, as if they already know me. I'm immediately surrounded with handshakes and hugs and cheers. All uncertainty is gone. I'm welcome here.

I cannot thank the hosts, the event organizers and participants enough. All the helping hands, the bonding of brothers, the support and well-being....it was cathartic. I hope to never forget that feeling.

As the wife of a performer, I was only slightly familiar with WAC. I knew he listened to the weekly shows and was creating and sharing tons of music. When he heard about WACfest and that he was invited to perform, we were quickly making travel arrangements! I was leary and anxious about meeting this group. WOW!!! What a pleasant surprise to be able to spend time listening to great music and getting to know supportive and awesome people. Can't wait for the next one!
